Nine years in commodities. The first of them in mining, at the ordinary bulk end of the market; the rest moving steadily upward — to strategic metals, critical raw materials and rare earths.

That progression is the substance of the practice. Working with poorer materials first teaches how an operation actually behaves: what a deposit really holds, what a plant can really deliver, and how far a claim sits from a fact. Carrying that habit into the critical end of the market — where supply sits in few hands and qualification is slow — is what clients are buying.

Her work is business development in the full sense: opening markets, building a supplier and client base that stands up to scrutiny, and organising the commercial function around it. She founded Empress Global Materials to do that work independently.

How she works

  • Personally

Mandates are led directly. The firm stays deliberately small.

  • Independently

No title to material and no position of its own. Where a mandate ends in a concluded transaction, the firm is remunerated by the party that appointed it, on terms agreed in writing beforehand.

  • Discreetly

Confidentiality agreed in writing before names, sources or documents are exchanged.
